Robotics I: Electrical & Mechanical Design
July 13th-16th Grade Levels: 3rd-5th and 6th-8th Grade $300/week + $40/week transportation from UofA to Biosphere 2 (optional) Students will set up bread boards to light up LEDs, control mo- tors, and build a robotic car complete with light and touch sen- sors. Curriculum designed and taught by local engineers will give students the opportunity to create fun, unique assemblies from electronic and mechanical components through advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts. LUNCH PROVIDED BYO SNACK & WATER BOTTLE CLOSED TOE SHOES REQUIRED WEEKLY TOURS OF THE B2 8 AM - Bus leaves U of A 9 PM - Class starts at Biosphere 2 4 PM - Bus departs from Biosphere 2 5 PM - Student Pick up from U of A |
Robotics II: Computer Science
July 20th-23th Grade Levels: 3rd-5th and 6th-8th Grade $300/week + $40/week transportation from UofA to Biosphere 2 (optional) Students that were a part of Robotics I will now be encouraged to learn how to program their robot with Ardrino. The course is designed to provide stretch goals — learning how to insert prewritten code blocks to writing their own code.
